TRI-ing for a Cause. Support those with Parkinson’s Disease.

WE HAVE ADDED A DUATHLON TO OUR YMCA FREDERICK SPRINT TRIATHLON FOR MEN AND WOMEN AGES 14 AND UP. THE EVENT TAKES PLACE AT MIDDLETOWN HIGH SCHOOL, MIDDLETOWN, MD AND IS FOR ALL EXERCISE/SPORT TYPES FROM THE VERY BEGINNER TO THE COMPETITIVE ATHLETE.

Once again, our Triathlon/Duathlon event is “Tri-ing for a Cause” in support of Parkinson’s disease and the dramatic relief of symptoms individuals achieve by cycling. At the Y we offer Pedaling for Parkinson’s cycle classes and Rock Steady Boxing twice a week in an 8 week program. The cycle class is taught by Kim Spletter, a Cycle Instructor and Personal Trainer who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s seven years ago. Today Kim continues to teach the Pedaling for Parkinson’s class and continues personal training her clients with huge success.
