On December 12th, at Urbana High School, the UHS Mini-THON will be hosting its first ever FTKolor Holiday Run. Proceeds from this event will be going toward the Urbana High School Mini-THON fund. Based off of Penn State’s THON program, Mini-THON fights to raise funds for the 4-Diamonds. An organization based out of Penn State Hershey Children’s Medical Hospital, 4-Diamonds mission is, “To conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research.” The purpose of this run is not just to raise funds, but also bring awareness to the cause and bring people all throughout the community together in support.
