This is an inexpensive small race with a great chance for runners to receive awards.  Since this is half of an intercontinental race series, anyone entering the race in Maryland, USA will automatically receive a free entry into the sister 6.6k race in Wamunyu, Kenya in October 2018 and would receive a medallion for completing both races.  Awards will be given to the top female/Male (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and the top three places female/male in the following age groups: under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.  All winners will receive a hand carved medallion from Wamunyu, Kenya and the top three overall winners will also receive additional awards. Post race food will include bagels, fruit and water. You can sign up to be a virtual runner and you will receive a race t-shirt. There will also be a fun run.
