DC Metro area runners, are you ready for an exciting fall race that supports an important local cause? Carpenter’s Shelter and Pacers Events is proud to bring back the Run for Shelter 5K, 10K and Fun Run for its fifth year. This fun event is dedicated to ending homelessness in the Northern Virginia area. Carpenter’s Shelter is a homeless shelter in Alexandria, serving over 750 homeless individuals and families each year. Run for Shelter helps raise funds and awareness for Carpenter’s Shelter and our mission to end homelessness by supporting the homeless to achieve sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education and advocacy.
